The Fall Academy Overview

The Fall Academy - What you should know

The Fall Academy Data

THE FALL ACADEMY:

Is NOT:  A league or a tryout camp.  Blends practices (workouts) and games.

Prepares players for showcases, “select” college camps and team tryouts.

Places emphasis on players “Learning the Game” plus the traditional skill development work.  Teaches life lessons like commitment, dedication, responsibility.

BRIEF HISTORY:

2019 is our 26th season

Last year we “Closed” the registration process on July 4 (This year we plan to do it sooner!)

We did formulate a ‘waiting list’ and 1 player was selected from it

We take 30 players (although we have had as many as 40) to insure “quality” in TFA

We have had 437 different players participate – 716 roster spots – 29 players for 4 years each

Some of our Past Participants include:

Eric Fryer, Reynoldsburg – C currently in the Minnesota Twins organization

Todd Balduf, Dublin Scioto – C who was in the Kansas City Royals organization

Chris Bova, Reynoldsburg – RHP who was in the St. Louis Cardinals organization

Greg Lopez, Upper Arlington – SS who was in the Toronto Blue Jays organization

Tommy Parsons, New Albany - RHP who signed as a free agent with the St.Louis Cardinals organization

Chris White, Frankfort Adena – LHP who was in the Cleveland Indians organization

ROLES:

Player – Work to improve….listen, take instruction, experiment with the advice given

Parent – Support your son….Don’t be “baggage” as it can only hinder his efforts

Coaches – If you can play for us and handle all that we give, you can play for anyone

Remember: There is “NO crying” in baseball….no complaining….We are NOT just about playing games and scrimmages. We are about “learning the game” and promoting those worthy of playing at a higher level.

THE FALL ACADEMY

Our 26th Year

2019

An Overview

We have sent more high school players to The Next Level than any other central Ohio baseball instructional/developmental program...

Our goal is for players to "Learn the Game" in a professional way so that they will ultimately "Live the Dream."

We take Only 30 players per year into this very 'select' academy. We blend instruction with competition and have found that our formula proves

to be a very successful mix. Those who register at this time will no doubt get accepted into the academy

and enter at a discounted fee. Total cost for the 7-week academy that works out approximately 5 days per week is $1500. It includes wood bats, t-shirts

and hat. Most of the work outs are conducted in Huntington Park.

Send your non-refundable ($250 deposit) to:

Ron Golden's Baseball Academy

We pledge to make the 2018 edition of

TFA an even better experience than the past 25 years.

This past year we added a special component, speed training, and it proved to be a

really positive addition. The players who really put in the effort got a lot out of the workouts. So, we plan to continue with it again in 2015. We are planning to do other new things, too!

The 2019 Fall Academy will begin in August. We hope you decide to join.
